Accommodation

Can I stay at Sylvan Glen Estate?

While there is some on-site accommodation at Sylvan Glen Estate, unfortunately we can’t accommodate everyone there. We’ll allocate rooms once RSVPs have been finalised.

I want to stay off-site. What other accommodation options are there?

There are plenty of lovely hotels, cottages, bed & breakfasts etc in nearby Bundanoon. We have also booked a couple of larger AirBnBs near the venue and will liaise with some groups travelling together on these.

Transport & parking

Can I carpool with someone to the Southern Highlands?

Please contact us if you need help securing a ride. Conversely, if you’re driving and have extra space, please let us know!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking for guests staying on site and visitors.

I'm staying off site. How can I get to and from the venue?

On our wedding day, a bus has been arranged to pick up and drop off guests staying in nearby Bundanoon. Off-site guests will be required to make their own way to and from the welcome dinner and recovery breakfast.

Style notes

What is cocktail attire?

Think midi or knee-length dresses or jumpsuits; or a suit or trousers and blazer combo, with an optional tie or bow-tie.

What's the weather like?

Early November in the Southern Highlands is usually characterised by warm spring sunshine during the day (18-24°C), however once the sun sets, it is noticeably cooler (8-12°C). Don't forget to bring a jacket for the welcome dinner and reception and some warm clothes for the rest of your stay.

Food & drink

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Yes – you can note your dietary requirements when you RSVP.

Can I bring outside food and alcohol?

If you’re staying on site, you are more than welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy in your accommodation. Both the Homestead and the Cottage have well-appointed kitchens so you can bring supplies for breakfast, lunch on Saturday if you don’t want to venture out, and nibbles if you get snacky. Breakfast can be provided by the venue on both days for an additional cost. Please bring your favourite drinks to enjoy at the welcome dinner. Outside food and alcohol are not allowed at the reception, which is fully catered.

Kids

Are kids welcome?

While we adore your little ones, our wedding day will be an adults-only celebration (with the exception of babies). If you’re travelling with children, we’re very happy to help organise babysitters at the venue – just chat to us about what you need. You’re welcome to bring your little ones to the welcome dinner and recovery breakfast.

Things to do

What is there to do in the area?

We will be adding a section to the website dedicated to things to do in the Southern Highlands soon. Watch this space!

Jervis Bay

What's the deal with Jervis Bay?

After our wedding weekend, we’re continuing the celebrations in one of our favourite places in Australia, Jervis Bay. It's got it all: quiet white sand beaches, coastal walks, Aussie wildlife, kayaking opp's and (of course) some vibey pubs and breweries. We’ve tentatively booked a few holiday homes close to one another until Friday 13 November, anticipating that some international guests – and friends and family from around Australia – might like to join us. If you're interested, let us know when you RSVP!
